Vampire Oclero playing this Saturday at the Annapolis Film Festival

The animated short "Vampire Oclero" is playing this Saturday, November 11, 2006 at the 2006 Annapolis Film Festival. The film was written and directed by Carousel30's Creative Director Greg RS Kihlström, with video production and post-production by Carousel30 and animation by Suburban Sprawl Studios. This is Carousel30's third film to be screened at the Annapolis Film Festival, and Vampire Oclero's second screening this year. It also played at the Chicago Horror Festival earlier in 2006.

The animated short film is the story of a mosquito who is the midst of an existential crisis and meets a vampire who helps to show him something new about life... and... death.

Detroit-Windsor Journal Project Web site Launches

The Web site for the Detroit-Windsor Journal Project launched today. The Web site Design features a Flash interface that utilizes Carousel30's proprietary Flash and XML-based Content Management System as well as a small application that integrates Yahoo! Maps into the Flash Environment.

The Detroit-Windsor Journal Project is a not-for-profit project supported by Wayne State University, Carousel30 and several organizations and schools in the Detroit, Michigan and Windsor, Ontario communities. Its goal is to encourage communication among the variety of different communities with different cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. By increasing understanding through a journaling activity, it is hoped that positive change will begin to occur.
